INTERSOS’ INTERVENTION

Starting from the principle that every human being has the right to receive health care, in crisis or conflict situations we guarantee access to vital primary and secondary medical services, intervene in the treatment of malnutrition through nutritional therapies, and support local health systems. Specifically, we deal with:

• Distributing health kits to the population.
• Supporting local health systems by supplying medical supplies and drugs or training staff.
• Construction and reconstruction of clinics or health facilities.
• Setting up mobile clinics to reach the most isolated places to supplement existing health centres.
• Monitoring of nutritional status and treatment of malnutrition.
• Nutritional services for malnourished children and pregnant or lactating women.
• Awareness-raising and training campaigns to raise awareness of the health risks for assisted populations.
